Thanksgiving 2008
We ventured to Minnesota, to visit all of Mom’s family & go to Bluefin Bay! It was a great time…
We arrived on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, taking the 6am flight out of Atlanta. Not so much fun to be up early, especially when we didn’t sleep in the hotel room for more than about two hours…and, Friday was the same point in my pregnancy that Mom’s water broke! Thankfully, we didn’t have a problem at all & Mom is still very much so pregnant!
Here are some photos…if you are lucky, you’ll receive our snowy Christmas photo in the mail!
In the outdoor pool! Yup…it was about 30 degrees outside & we were in the open air pool…fun!
With the Aunties & Uncles who were at Bluefin at the time…in the pool!
In the hot tub with Uncle & Auntie…yeah, hot tubs aren’t for little kids, but when it is 30 degrees or so outside, you will be fine in the hot tub!
My crab towel…isn’t it cute???
With Uncle Jason & his beard…while we were at the CoHo Cafe…yum!
Out in the snow…the only stuff we saw come down on the whole trip, less than one inch!
I did NOT like the snow on my shoes!!!
Our family photo shot…which is what is on the Christmas Card this year!
We had a great time, although the trip was a whirlwind…we were at Bluefin from Sunday until Friday…and, then we flew out on Saturday morning. Fast, but fun. Our next trip will definitely not be as event filled…and, we’ll have my sibling with, too!
Finally…we got a new camera…
And, I’ve been lazy…I have more photos to post, but I just wanted to get these out there…we have another RASH epidemic!!! Ugh…I’m not excited!
First, a cute photo of me, with my shirt on!
Now, a photo with my spots…there are a few on my legs & arms as well…I thought I was over getting these random rashes!!!
Mom promises more photos, soon! Hey, we’ll just be watching the election results tonight, so she doesn’t have anything else to do, right???

Mini-Meatloaf…it’s a winner!
So…I know I should be sharing PC recipes on Jacob’s website, but this one is tooo good to not share, and too simple!
I hope everyone will be able to read it…if not, here’s the recipe:
Ingredients: 1 pound extra lean ground beef, 1 pkg (6 oz) stuffing mix, 1 tsp garlic powder, 3/4 cup barbecue sauce, 3/4 cup shredded cheese.
Directions: Heat oven to 375 F; Mix meat, stuffing mix, 1 cup water & garlic powder; Press into 12 muffin cups sprayed with cooking spray; Make an indentation in the center of each mini loaf with a spoon; fill with sauce; Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked through (160 F); Top with cheese; bake for 5 minutes or more until cheese melts. Serves 6.
ENJOY them as we did!
Menu Planning…
So…I decided I needed to get better control of my kitchen & what I am doing in it! So…here’s the plan for the week…
Breakfasts - Monday through Thursday: Yogurt, Oatmeal, Fruit, Toast, & Cereal - variety depending on mood.
Lunches - Monday: went to lunch with Fleeta before she left town; Tuesday: Spaghetti (I LOVE the new pouches for the microwave for sauce!); Wednesday: Soup/Sandwiches; Thursday: Grilled Cheese & Fruit; Friday: Daddy is off, we might go out somewhere cheap!
Dinners - Monday: Leftovers (soup for Jacob; Hash for Daddy; Toast for Mommy); Tuesday: Mini-meatloaves - I hope they’re good! with rice & veggies; Wednesday: Chicken Club Ring (PC recipe); Thursday: Frozen dinner from a few weeks ago - Ribs & Augratins with a veg. Friday: Leftovers - there are sure to be some! (might flip Thursday & Friday, too)
As for the weekend…they are always so touch & go…and, I include Friday’s in the weekend because Shad works 4 10’s now…and he’s off. Friday morning, I plan on making a Quiche (yummy…I did this with Heidi last week & it was soooo good!). Saturday & Sunday, we’ll probably stick to the above for breakfasts unless we have cinnamon rolls - they’ve been a hit lately!
I’ll keep everyone posted on our menus as the weeks go by & how I am to sticking with them!
A birthday party for Wyatt…
And…photos with my friend, Ashley. I didn’t get any with Wyatt, or if I did, Mom didnt’ get them to post! Aren’t these cute?
Unfortunately, Mommy had to work a tennis tournament, so she couldn’t come with for the festivities! I had a pretty good day…went to the party, got to see Mom at work, and then hung out at home with Daddy…can’t complain about that!

Another fun day at home with Alyssa…
Here are some photos from today…Alyssa was here with me to play all day.
Alyssa - smiling as usual!
And Jacob with his grin…
The day would not be complete without a picture on the couch! We LOVE to sit on the couch.
Earlier, I gave Alyssa a hug, but Mom didn’t have her camera & I didn’t do it again…maybe next time she’ll get a photo! ~Jacob.
The fourth of July…
Well, we got out to the boat for the afternoon…I got to run around with my lifejacket on, and see my cousins, Lauren & Kate, along with their parents, my Aunt Regina & Uncle Andy. It was a good time…
Here are a few photos from inside the boat…I wasn’t in there during this time, I was outside…
We had good food, took a ride down the river, and as soon as we got back to the dock, we left for home. It had been a long day in a confined space…and, I was ready for a nap! ~ Jacob.
I’m going to be a big brother…
Well, Mom will finally let me tell everyone, since we are 12 weeks along & there have been no issues…she didn’t spend last night in the ER, like she did with me, at the same point in her pregnancy. We are glad about that!
As for me…no new photos right now…Mom needs to get working on it! I am getting into having temper tantrums & not eating due to my teeth that have decided to emerge…I’m getting the pointy teeth on top, and Mom thinks I might be getting the molars on top as well. So, I have fits about it…get frustrated when I can’t do something I think I want or should be able to do…and, Mom tries to just deal with me, hoping I don’t bite her - yes, I’ve gotten into that!
Other than that, we’ll be making an appearance - that is, me and my mom - in Minnesota, hopefully arriving on July 31st with Auntie Karissa, courtesy of Uncle Jason & NWA. Be in prayer that all our flights will be open with enough seating for us!
More later…hopefully, I’ll convince Mom to get some photos, too! ~ Jacob.
