The Boat made a trip…
I guess I should call it by it’s name - Winderra - made a trip downtown & stayed the night at Ross’s Landing. We met up with Nana & Grandpa Bill on Saturday morning to see all three!
Then we saw the boat off as it made its trip back to the Marina…
Hopefully, we’ll be able to take the trip ON the boat, soon!
Nurse Cathy says “Hi”
So, we went to the hospital today to see Misty, unfortunately she had to go back to the hospital after having her surgery, but since we were there, and Nurse Cathy was working, we got to visit her, too!
As you can see, I enjoyed my time with her…
And, she told me to say “Hi” to Grammy Joan, and that I better get ready to see her soon! She also said that Grammy Joan probably won’t know who I am!!!
I hope you all had a great Friday, too!
Jacob.
Mapblast sucks…
That’s all I have to say. I don’t understand why these programs give you WRONG directions!
I sent out invites for MacKenzie’s Bridal Shower…with directions from the site…I guess they are wrong…and, on a MAJOR road. I can *kinda* understand if they are wrong on something like my little neighborhood, which can be a little confusing…but, on something like Hwy 52 to 70th St???? Here is why…

If you are coming, I have been told that the RIGHT turn I give you to take onto 70th St. E is WRONG…you need to take a LEFT!!!
I’ll be letting people know when they call or e-mail….
Just had to vent! ~ Melissa.
About Swim Diapers…
So, has anyone ever used them before???
I bought the smallest size you can buy - 16 pound minimum - and, they didn’t work too well. I really wish I knew how they worked anyway, but I guess you just buy them because it is said that it is ’safer’ if you have them.
Then, I bought a swim diaper at Target - for 3-6 month - and thought that you should put a regular diaper underneath - WRONG! You are supposed to just put the swim diaper on…so, if the kid decides to go number 2, it’s a great mess to clean up, especially the number 2 Jacob has decided to do lately - at least it’s just weekly! Not so much seedy anymore as it is just really not all that solid, at all! I’ll spare the details…
So…if anyone has any useful information about swim diapers, I’d appreciate it. Maybe the throw away kind will work better when he is bigger, but that was one FULL diaper when we got back to the room…
That’s all I have to say for now…Melissa.
It’s been nice…
Being at the beach! Here are a few of my favorite photos…
These were to give you a setting as to the GREAT place we’ve been staying at - Thank you Nana!
Now…for my first trip down to the beach…
So, that was the beach, and in a way, it was kinda for the birds, because I didn’t like the wet sand…so, we went to the pool!
I really want to learn how to be a GREAT swimmer!
I like to splash - just don’t splash on me!!!
Just another one with me and Daddy in the pool!
Today, we hung out at the room, then went for a little drive…and, then Mom and Dad had to eat at Fudpuckers - so did I!
I had to have a smile with Daddy at lunch!
At the beach - with mom - I love to have my feet in the sand!
See the ocean! I do like it, but I’m just not big enough to enjoy it as much as I will, yet!
Just to let you all know, I DO NOT like being in the car, in my chair, all day…it might be an interesting trip to MN. I will sit for a while and enjoy it, but then I start to scream. I did about an hour of screaming in my chair yesterday, which really got me tired. I slept from 8:15pm until 7:30am this morning! But, I am a happy camper today!
Hope you had as good a weekend as I did! - Jacob.
Do you have enough faith?
So, in thinking and discussing this with Polly, and about a week later with my husband…I just felt like I needed to write it down for others to read, if you are interested…
Polly & I had a discussion about giving a tithe to church. She said that she just needed to do it, and I told her that Shad & I did also. I said, “It isn’t anything more than a faith issue. Do we have enough faith to know that the Lord will provide for us what we need?”
It was easy to say about money, and I don’t know why - but then this past weekend, on mother’s day in fact, Shad and I were talking about it in the car ride up the river (Ocoee). Not about money, but about time…I constantly feel like I do not have enough time to get anything done, especially while taking care of Jacob and his needs. I realized that I am not giving time enough to God - and it is all he wants - things that we are not willing or wanting him to be in the middle of - and, do I have enough faith to know that I will get accomplished what I need to do, along with giving to the Lord the time that he deserves in our relationship?
Just something to think about…do you have enough faith to give time, money, energy, etc to God and know that He will provide you with what you need when you need it?
I’m just big boned!
That’s what Grammy says!
Well, I weighed in at 13 pounds and 3 ounces today - taking after Mommy and Daddy in the weight category! Dr. Gina said that it might take me a while to meet the motor skills development milestones because I’m a big kid for my preemie beginnings…it’s all the good milk Mommy’s been feeding me, but that’s not my fault! I can’t help it that I like it! I’m doing better with holding my head, but it’s not a consistant thing yet…until I can get rid of my ‘Ray Charles’ moves, I can’t have rice cereal. That’s okay though…I’m not too anxious to have cereal! Other than that, I’m also 23-1/4 inches long, and my head is big at about 40cm! Dr. Gina also said that I have a big head, which might be why I’m inclined to have “Ray” moves.
I got my second set of shots, and they don’t seem to be too bothersome. I did sleep most of the afternoon, but I got my tummy time in after eating my 5pm meal with Daddy, and I just finished my 9pm meal. I’m an hour late, but that’s okay…I’ll sleep longer in the morning, and Mommy likes that!
Well, we are going to bed, so I’ll see you all later! We have to rest up this week…we’re going to the beach on Thursday night! I’m soooo excited!
Jacob.
Mom’s First Mother’s Day
Well, Mom got her birdfeeder for the front porch, so we can watch the birds eat…that’s all she wanted! She will have to take a picture of it and put it up here soon.
Other than that, we went up to Copperhill and had lunch with Dad’s cousins and their children…photos will be coming soon. It was a fun time - Tyler, Elijah and Emma all thought that I was fun to play with! I can’t wait until I can run around with them.
We also went up there for the visitation of Daddy’s Great Aunt Annie. She passed away on Saturday morning, about 2am. She was 88 years old, and ready to meet Jesus, so it is a good thing, but still a little sad. I did never get up there to meet her, as we were planning on going to see her for Mother’s Day. I guess it wasn’t meant to be.
Here’s a photo with my MOMMY!!!
- JACOB!
I GOT A SUIT!!!
WOW!!! Mom bought me the most beautiful suit for the wedding…on ebay, of course! “You can find IT on ebay” is sooo true…
Take a look at the fabulous suit…
Isn’t it perfect? It would be better with a green shirt and tie, but finding a tuxedo in the dark chocolate brown was hard enough! The pink will look good with Mom’s green dress - well, everyone’s green dresses!
Well, I haven’t poopied in six days, and I think I might have to before I go to bed…so, I’m going to go…
Jacob.
