Friday, January 5th around 8pm, Mom’s water broke. Mom and Dad were actually just finishing up dinner, and watching the movie “Lady in the Water” - can you believe it! My parents when right to Erlanger, and Mom was admitted, being told she would be in the hospital until I was born. She got steroids and magnesium - the first to help my lungs mature, the second to keep me inside. She was on magnesium until Sunday afternoon, which pretty much stopped the contractions, but after she was off the magnesium, the contractions came back around 8pm on Monday night.

January 9th, at 2am, Mom was dilated to 4cm…so, they moved us all to the labor and delivery side of the hall. At 3:45am, when she was checked again, she was 9.5cm, and I was ready to get out here! Dad called the grandparents, and they were on their way fast! After Mom pushed for about 30-40 minutes, I was born at 5:15am. I think it was pretty nice of me to get here so quickly and not have Mom go through such a long labor - especially since I am the first!
